Hardware Solutions grew out of a pattern I kept seeing again and again: hardware projects rarely fail because of one obvious mistake. They usually fail because small decisions in different parts of the system were made separately — a mechanism that works in CAD but fights the electronics, a prototype that looks finished but can’t be assembled reliably, a requirement nobody knows how to test, or a product architecture that makes the next stage harder than it needs to be.
For the better part of fifteen years, I’ve worked on the other side of those problems — as the engineer brought in to make physical products work in the real world. Sometimes that meant early product architecture. Sometimes it meant mechanical design, electromechanical packaging, prototyping, supplier coordination, DFM, testing, or getting a stalled concept back onto a practical path. The common thread is always the same: hardware is one connected system, even when the work is split across design, electronics, firmware, prototyping, manufacturing, and validation.
That is why Hardware Solutions exists. Not just to produce CAD files or isolated engineering deliverables, but to help teams make better technical decisions earlier — before cost, schedule, and design constraints start locking in. We look at the mechanism, the enclosure, the electronics, the user interaction, the prototype plan, the manufacturing path, and the risks between them as one product, not as disconnected tasks.
Over the years, this approach has supported first-time founders building their first physical product, growing startups trying to move from prototype to production, and engineering teams at companies like Meta, Toyota, Navistar, and IonQ. The scale of the project changes. The core question stays the same: what needs to be true for this product to work outside the presentation, outside the CAD model, and outside the first clean prototype?
